The first floor

What is shared

The apartment is on one side of the staircase. A separate bedroom and bathroom on the other side is retained by the host family and is often used as the family’s own guest room.

The staircase and landing are shared access areas. The ground floor, upper floor and private worship space are not part of the guest accommodation.

The atmosphere indoors

Modern structure

The house is built using brick, cement and concrete. It is not presented as a mud house or a traditional natural building.

Selected natural finishes

Indoor floor surfaces use a Vedic plaster layer, and the walls use a breathable finish made with natural materials and colours, including pure desi cow dung.

Privacy with hosts nearby

The host family remains close enough to assist when needed, while the booked apartment remains private in ordinary use.

Convenient location

The property is close to Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport, making arrivals, departures and longer regional journeys easier.

Household principles

Clear expectations, shared before booking.

  • Meat, fish and eggs are not brought into, prepared or consumed anywhere on the property.
  • Alcohol and intoxicants are not permitted.
  • Parties, disruptive gatherings and unapproved visitors are not accommodated.
  • Organised or public-facing filming requires prior permission.
  • The privacy of the host family and worship spaces must be respected.

Is the entire first floor private?

No. The two-bedroom apartment is private, but a separate room and bathroom across the staircase is retained by the host family. The staircase and landing are shared.

Yes. The purpose of the visit need not be spiritual, provided the guest group is comfortable with the household practices.

Are longer stays possible?
